Adepticon Diary - Entry #2 - Seminar with Jeremie Bonamant Teboul

The highlight of the entire trip was attending Jeremie Bonamant Teboul's seminar on wet-blending.  What I gained from this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity was a capstone on the current phase of my painting education.

The master at work.

The technique is fast and carefree.  Here is the base layer after a few minutes.

Maybe four layers, plus or minus, if I recall.  Jeremie uses this technique for 80% or 90% of what he does.

One of his finished pieces.

Jeremie brought out his entry for the Crystal Brush.  Yes, that is the piece that won the entire show!

Jeremie nonchalantly dabs a little more paint on the piece.  A work of art is never finished, just abandoned....

Thank you again, Jeremie!

  1. Nice pics from an interesting class. I wish I would have also been in the wet blending class. I was able to make his class that took place after.
Did you by any chance receive a Figone miniature that the class description said was included with paid attendance?

    Thanks.

  2. You know, I totally forgot about that. Maybe Jeremie did, too! I'm sure it was an honest mistake. Some consolation is that the next day at Jeremie's vendor table, I purchased a sizable collection of Figone models, and Jeremie threw in a freebie of my choice.
